Mythololy: Greek

To be honest, I don't know too much about this topic, but I searched online and this is what I found: "Mythology is the way people told stories to explain natural phenomena. An origin myth is a specific myth that explains how something came to be, like the way the greeks explain thunderstorm or the season they say that it was responsible for them according to their feelings".
As I said before, were the most ancient civilizations who occupied this form of literature. For example the Greeks were polytheists, so they had many gods to explain natural phenomena. Some of the most important gods were: Poseidon was the brother of Zeus and Hades. These three gods were divided up creation. Zeus was the god of the sky. Hades was the god of the dead.
Dionysus was the god of wine. Dionysus was the son of Zeus and the mortal heroine. Hephaestus was the god of fire and crafts or the two together. He accomplished a lot of things of craftsmanship. Such as beautiful palaces that he built for the gods on top of Mount Olympus.
Ares was the god of war. In his appearance, he was handsome, but cruel. His throne on mount Olympus was said to be covered in human skin. Artemis was the virgin goddess of the hunt. Artemis and her brother Apollo were the children of Zeus and leto.
